KIRKUS REVIEW

A young wife's spirited reaction to life ""down under"" provides reading with a dash of vinegar to sharpen its appeal. Marrying her teacher husband against his family's will (while he was in the U.S.A.) was the first hurdle to life in Australia and the others that follow, including some quite annoying restrictions on womens' activities, create a far flung view for the alert fellow female.
