Miss Rukeyser's feelings as a poet underlie some concrete observations about one of childhood's perpetual mysteries- the disappearance of adults. On stairways, in the market, during a walk in a park, grownups invariably have a way of getting lost. That all's well when they're found again is Just as frequent an experience too.
