RODEO: The Great American Sport

Lots of good black-and-white action photos, a good proportion of them sequences detailing particular operations, show us what happens at a typical rodeo and its different events. The picture are accompanied by a flat descriptive text, neither hoopla nor investigative, which gives a little background on the sport, points out the qualities required of a rodeo performer, and explains what's going on in the pictures. Though Tinkelman's text won't catch readers up in the fans' enthusiasm, those who are interested or curious about rodeos can marvel at the photographed feats.
