ONE UNKNOWN

A slight but rather charming idyll -- the imaginary story back of the lovely death mask, the ""unknown of the Seine"". The author pictures her as a girl from the provinces, whose dream had been to come to Paris, and who -- on the way to the fulfillment of the dream, falls in love with a romantic Englishman who befriends her, and who manages to keep his feeling for her externally, at least, free from physical manifestations. A book for a plus sale.
