Shannon, roughfisted private dick, again involved in murder when a friend is suspected of the killings of a prominent plastic surgeon, Morne. The Morne menage is not a pretty one, the doctor is a sexual pervert, his son is trying to imitate him, and his wife is the obvious suspect. Shannon moves fast -- finds cause in the blindness of a matinee idol on whom Morne had operated, with resultant infection. Standard fare, but fast paced.
