KIRKUS REVIEW

Digging in the bushes for the Sunday papers, Little Stevie comes up with a warm furry animal, somebody's puppy obviously lost. As Stevie learns to care for his little pup, he and father also search for the owner and when the man finally appears, he allows the pup to remain in its fine adopted home. Some good instructions for very young children on puppy care, but test and illustrations (Dorthy Marino) lack the necessary verve and excitement that make such an event memorable.
