Money hustler Ross Morgan had taken out a $50,000 per capita insurance policy on the lives of four of his friends who fly off with him to the Rockies where they come down to earth in a fatal crash. All dead. . . but perhaps one, seen after the plane had last refueled. Their old friend Dave Reynolds goes back through their belongings, human and otherwise, to find out just who is left to gain what. Land should write more often and he could write more--this won't quite last from the dinner hour to the eleven o'clock news but it's catchy and confident.
