THE SHADOW AND THE BLOT

Young Morty, from the Bronx, gets a chance to deal in a big time murder case when events following the death of Ischeler indicate it might not have been accidental. Assisted by Sadie, also from the Bronx, Morty manages to hold his own with a jealous widow, a highly neurotic mistress, a cowardly son and a too clever painter, and proves a big time art fraud and vicious killings. Dialects all over the place for a rather pretentious effort.
