SOMEONE IS KILLING THE GREAT CHEFS OF EUROPE

A bonne bouche for sophisticates--full of all kinds of fleshly pleasures as well as some genuinely funny lines as four famous chefs face their Last Supper. One is baked to death; another's skull is trepanned in a meat press; and Natasha O'Brien, our heroine and as famous as our own Julia Child--now about to make her special Bombe Richelieu for the Queen--is wondering just how she will meet maker, be it via a deep freeze or an electric mixer? Also present are Inspector Carmody of the Yard, a fast-food boor called Ogden (""Alimentary, my dear Ogden"") and Achille, the author of that last line. He's also the publisher of a very successful magazine Lucullus but Achilles has his heel which is his ruined gastric system (from liver to duodenal ulcer) and he's been sentenced to death within a year. Nosh nonsense--and there's sure to be a covey of sitting Peking ducks ready to snap it up.
