The same Linda of Linda Goes to the Hospital (1953) gains a fresh experience as she takes a train trip herself to meet her mother in Florida. Starting in a New York station, there is all the bustle of railroad life as Linda's father installs her in her car, instructs her in travel, and waves good-bye. Underway, Linda proves a resourceful girl. There are friends to make, the fun of eating in the diner, and sleeping in a berth, and mother and baby to help- before safe arrival the next day.
