GRANDPAPPY

In a quiet but admiring portrait, Nate tells about staying alone with his grandfather, a gentle soul who is his friend, companion, good example, and spiritual guide. By his generosity, Grandpappy shows that ""people are more important than things""; he has a grand laugh that ""comes up slowly from deep down inside""; and he shares Bible stories and talks about forgiveness (""Be a light, Narc, a light in a dark place""). Molk's serene, realistic paintings set the idyll on the New England coast and carry it through a day's cycle. A lovely glimpse of intergenerational affection.
