This is a very effective and original book, but almost too different to go. Primitive in a sophisticated way, almost Egyptian. The story is told in pictures and text of a young Indian lad who determined to find out through his own efforts, and his own ""magic"" where the missing buffaloes had gone. A picture book that ""progressive parents"" will like better than the average parent.
