KIRKUS REVIEW

The life of Alexander the Great through his early manhood is presented in erudite if not fascinating form. We view his boyhood as son of the King, his hunting expeditions, taking the wild horse, Bucephalus, his trips to the wars. Most of all we note the enormous influence of his tutor Aristotle in opening Alexander's eyes to the world and to men.
