KIRKUS REVIEW

What held together the six men chosen as pall bearers in Leah's will? The town knew some of the stories but there were two men among the six with whom there was no apparent tie. This is the story of her life, in its relation to the men, and through it you span a generation in a rather typical Western small city, inland from the coast. Fairly good reading, though not important.
