Pleasantly, rather than smartly, styled, for rentals primarily, this tells of Jim's return from overseas after the death of Elena, with the birth of their second child. The two children are in the hands of Elena's sister, and Jim's initial resentment turns to gratitude, with resemblances of Kathy to Elena often causing him to misinterpret his feeling as love. Kathy, also loved by Hank Miller, faces a choice after Hank is hurt, and turns to Hank, leaving the coast clear for Penny, whose attraction Jim had fought, Condensed in Red Book.
