THE MINISTER AND CHRISTIAN NURTURE by Nathaniel E.-Ed. Forsyth

THE MINISTER AND CHRISTIAN NURTURE

By

Publisher: Abingdon

This book is a symposium in which ten leaders in Christian education explore the minister's total role in guiding his people toward Christian maturity. Beginning with a consideration of the minister as teacher, it tells how Christianity is learned at home, in the church, through ""living encounter with the Bible"", through the use of modern techniques and special equipment, such as audio-visuals, and thorough attention is given to the building of a balanced program which will overlook the needs of none in the all-inclusive task of total education for fuller Christian living. A most helpful book for Protestant ministers to read themselves- and to give to their leading laymen who may not yet realize the far-reaching implications of Christian education. The editor, Dr. Forsyth, is assistant to the General Secretary, Board of Education of the Methodist Church. The approach to the subject is generally Protestant, without denominational bias.
