In celebration of the Women's Centennial Congress, to be held on Nov. 26-27, this commemorative volume recording the uphill fight for suffrage is published. It is a symposium on the history, the personalities, the psychology of the campaign. It traces the state victories, painfully secured. It outlines the contribution women made to other causes, in the process of winning the vote, -- anti-slavery, legal rights, education, industrial rights, etc. But it does not pretend to be a complete survey of woman's achievements in various fields. Biographical summaries and photographs well reproduced of the leaders, and at the end bibliographies, chronologies, etc. A woman's club item. Public libraries, etc.
