KIRKUS REVIEW

How was your performance today...""Are you playing the part of the person you really want to be? Are you a star performer or a clown? Are you stepping on your own lines and falling flat on your face, or are you carrying off the affairs of the day with a flair?"" This is strictly off-stage advice based on acting techniques and precepts. It is designed to help the reader increase his powers of observation, attention span, better his physical appearance and ease, and give him control over his emotions. This will serve as an adequate introduction and perhaps tempt some readers into dipping into deeper waters to achieve their ""life-force."" It has a number of simple exercises taken from various acting teachers and actors and even incorporates the late Michael Chekhov's Radiation Theory- the principle of physically realizing the energy within you and literally radiating. A novelty approach but otherwise simplistic.
