KIRKUS REVIEW

This author of travel books for grown-ups (Petticoat Vagabond Up And Down the World) writes her first story for children in an engaging, unpretentious tale about Pirak, a little boy of the nomad Lapps, his family, and his pet reindeer fawn. Interesting setting, with much of the folkways and legendry of the Lapps given as the story develops.
