SUSAN TELLS STEPHEN by Nell Giles

SUSAN TELLS STEPHEN

By

Publisher: Hale, Cushman & Flint

This is etiquette for the boy friend -- and should have an adolescent appeal, though just how ""Stephen"" is to be urged down this path with a title that might set his back up is something for ""Susan"" to figure out. Susan Be Smooth author has done a book on good manners and good form for the youth who would be popular. Looks, grooming, clothes, good health, good manners, thoughtfulness, attitude towards money, assets that that can't be pigeonholed -- there's plenty of good sound common-sense, wrapped up in a somewhat glib, occasionally smart alecky style which prevents it from sounding preachy. Nice line drawings by Winifred Coffin. A careless piece of book-making -- but the general impression and content should have popular appeal.
