The story two wideawake colored youngsters, Jeff and his sister Princess, who come from the city to live with their grandmother in the country. They learn bits of Missouri's history, they learn ways of making money, so that they can fulfill their ambitions, they live through a cyclone, go to church, trace some thieves, share in a boboat hunt, and see Christmas at the Inn. Plenty of Negro songs and humor.
