KIRKUS REVIEW

This is a disappointing addition to a series, the general calibre of which has been good. There are a number of reasons for this:- the photographs, 45 of them, are often crowded three to a page, and lack the qualities needed to give the color and scale characteristic of their subject matter, the maps are inadequate; the text is factually competent in covering the history and facilities. All in all too much was attempted for the limitations of a small book. Better, perhaps, to wait for the more complete coverage offered by the same author on the adult list with many double spreads and full color photos.
