KIRKUS REVIEW

Entertaining adventures having to do with the 22nd century and the ""toughest, smartest, space-lickingest gang of ether-hands"" whose exploits aboard the Saturn are determined by experimenting Lancelot Biggs. As a newcomer his nuisance value is high, but when he transmutes lead to gold, defeats space pirates, wins the captain's daughter, pilots the Saturn to victory in a race, saves the ship by sacrificing himself -- he becomes tops with the crew. Plenty of fun here -- together with science unlimited.
