KIRKUS REVIEW

Bringing two dead men into Blind Mule at the request of a ""marshall"" almost puts Howlett's neck into a noose but, hired by orphan Frances to protect her ranch, he is able to fight back. Apprehensive about his past career as a killer he fights his love for Frances but does not desert her when he gets a chance- he stands by to wipe out her enemies- and let himself be redeemed by love. Taut.
