Good gunning, as Nye aces it again in this story of Black Andros, king of gunslicks, who is hired by the Forest Service to buck a group of big cattlemen who are blocking Teddy Roosevelt's plan to create forest reserves. Also to be protected, are the little cattle ranchers, whose lands have been deliberately devastated by the cattle combine. In the service of one of these, pretty Flame Tarnell, Andros acts quickly on both scores, and shoots the situation through, settling a six-year enmity at the same time. Very fine.
