SOMEBODY SPECIAL

In homey vein, this follows more of Little Rhody""s (1953) doings on the Michigan farm in 1876 where she lives with her parents and four brothers and sisters. As in the last, 11 year old Rhody is searching again for self fulfilment- for something she can do well that will prove her as an individual. She finds it at last in writing when a story of hers is published in the Youth's Companion, but en route there familiar family ups and downs- from colds to weddings- that provide the bittersweet touches. All's well that ends well.
