COUNTER PARADISE by Nichol Fleming

Email this review

Young Nichoi certainly has as much energy as his late uncle lan Fleming. But his is a mad, undisciplined matrix of circumstance. Almost but not quite a spy spoof as Jake Gainsborough encounters Felix Paradise, the foppish mastermind of a European network of crime. Jake originally works for Paradise, then steals from him and later duels with him in a series of cat-mouse maneuvers usually because of Crystal Nash, Paradise's heavenly secretary. There is more than one ""chain of continuous catastrohes."" Undemanding if ultimately boring.
