KOUNOVSKY'S INSTANT FITNESS

This time out, former New York exercise studio director Kounovsky cooks up a more tasteful concoction than Shape Up for Super Sex (written with Mary Ann Crenshaw), setting up sets of exercises, called gymnaks, which concentrate on six factors--endurance, suppleness, equilibrium, strength, speed, and skill or coordination--and require just six minutes a day. Also included: exercises for in-between times--in the shower, at a desk, in the car, with a broom. The drawings make the exercises easy to follow, and Kounovsky advises a doctor's go-ahead before beginning, indicates the importance of moving without strain, and includes a few more difficult exercises for those in top form. Skimpy.
