BUSH MASTER

Jungle junketing into Dutch Guiana, as the author, hunting excitement and hearing tales of a man of mystery who is a snake collector, buys into a trip. Plenty happens, -- voodoo, mounting debts, quarrels -- and the author is left with guides and cook at the last base. Then follows the unravelling of the mystery -- no fair spilling it. A sort of Ripley yearn, thoroughly entertaining, with the jungle lore and medicine, animals, insects, et al, blended with inquisitiveness and enthusiasm.
