THE CARELESS HANGMAN

Rowdy dow as usual, when Mrs. Pym, flaunter of Scotland Yard's dignity, again builds up a case where none exists. She hotfoots about, linking together a skeleton in a wax dummy, a bunco couple gone high-hat, the theft of a tycoon's suit, and a ten-year-old legal execution. She gets shot in the back for her pains, but she leaves her right hand, Scott, to mop up on the theft of a chemical formula, blackmailing and vengeance.
