WHAT DO YOU SAY?

An undistinguished guide to a dozen rules of etiquette. The text presents the tenets of proper behavior in a straightforward manner; corresponding illustrations depict what not to do. Although striving for humorous contrast, the garish cartoon art is distasteful; British terms such as ""zebra crossing"" will only confuse the American audience. Marc Brown's Perfect Pigs: An Introduction to Manners is livelier, funnier, and more effective; the Joslin/Sendak What Do You Do, Dear? and What Do You Say, Dear? are still unsurpassed.
