FURNITURE REFINISHING AT HOME

By

Pub Date: Sept. 20th, 1961
Publisher: Chilton

Starting off with a rather useless chapter containing little more than moral support and encouragement to the potential furniture refinisher, Mrs. Joyner goes on to give some extremely precise and practical, step-by-step directions for refinishing many kinds of furniture, picture frames, and decorative accessories. She also includes directions for applying tile to table tops, decorating cheap trays and waste-baskets, and constructing bases for lamps of different kinds. There is a chapter on identifying different kinds of woods, as well as chapters on how to protect the tops of furniture and how to paint and ""antique"" furniture. A simple and precise guide for beginners, and a good reference for the many materials available on the market for refinishing wood.
