KIRKUS REVIEW

The stories collected are pedestrian examples of dog stories for children. They are strung together by jingles suggesting how a child should treat a dog. For instance: ""Your puppy will always be your friend/For it's you he's thinking of, /o always give him a great big hug/ And lots and lots of love."" Lots and lots of orangey illustrations interrupt the printed matter and do nothing to justify the book's size.
