TEMPTATION TO STEAL

By

Pub Date: Feb. 11th, 1971
Publisher: Doubleday

Written in the present tense (except for that Kraut, that Frenchie and all those ""fellas""), this accompanies Ralph Emerson Prescott (whose old archaeology professor-discoverer had died too suddenly at Kennedy airport) to the Indonesian island of Ceram where there are a few graves, gods and notably the ancient Pillar of Fire. They plan to steal it. So does a German, that is Kraut, called Kehlenbach and there's a certain amount of action resulting from their interaction. Mr. Gerson spent even less time than usual so that he who steals this book steals trash.
