I'LL STORM HELL by Noel B. Gerson

I'LL STORM HELL

By

Pub Date: Sept. 8th, 1967
Publisher: Doubleday

This is one of Gerson's bi-annual biographical assignments one step down the road in his determination to cover the whole field of American history. Now it's ""Mad Anthony"" Wayne, gentleman farmer from Pennsylvania and unpredictably able general of the American Revolution who specialized in accomplishing the manifestly impossible by means of ""mad"" bayonet charges supported by artillery. The book covers the span of his erratic life and a career which teetered between public disgrace and adulation. Like Wayne, the story has virtually everything--adventure, color, romance, etc. but unlike him, it is guaranteed to offend no one which is the closest to a positive recommendation one can make.
