In book form, a pleasant evening in the theatre is translated into thinly readable period social comedy of turnabout of husbands and wives. The shift of scene from a Buffet de La gars in Boulogne to a villa in Nice, and back again to London where the respective husband and wife of the eloping lovers of the earlier scenes meet, provides not too elaborate stage sets for Little Theatre use. And the relatively small cast of principals is another asset. For even wider market- those who read plays- this can be recommended for flow of wit characteristic of its author.
