KIRKUS REVIEW

choes of Little Women come through in this autobiographical novel which would have gained strength had it been done as straight autobiography. Victoria is the middle child of a vicarage family. The story follows them, especially rebellious icky, from one parish to another until she realizes she has grown up--inside as well as out--just at the start of World War I. A glimpse of a way of life long gone sparked with the realism and humor of personal remembrance.
