JOAN TAKES A BOW

Light-hearted teen-age doings with the stress on dramatics. The drama devotees of Ravland High were much cast down when it was announced that the proposed production of Our Town would not materialize, due to lack of funds for royalties. However, the gang pitches in and writes a gay Swiss musical. The show is under way when the main prop -- Joan Williams' valuable Swiss music box -- is stolen. But the mystery is solved, the innocent cleared, personalities blossom under the influence of the drama, and the show goes on. High-schoolers in royalty doldrums might take a hint from the goings-on here.
