KIRKUS REVIEW

Ten year old Cathie Stuart's desire for excitement and a secret of her own was fulfilled when she met two gypsy children and sketched their picture as they played by the river Tweed in Scotland. Doubts and suspicions crept between her and her new friends and their families who lived in gypsy caravans. But Cathie learned her fears were ill-founded when Davy and Mireli, the gypsy children, won recognition for Cathie's artistic talents.
