HOW TO SURVIVE AS A CORPORATE WIFE

By

Pub Date: Dec. 6th, 1974
Publisher: Doubleday

Inspirational advice for some unrecognizable person the author calls Mrs. Average American, especially the wife of a professional salesman (as opposed to what? the unprofessional salesman?). After the oblation, ""with guidance sales families can have the most satisfying and stimulating lives. . . ,"" the author goes on to ask, ""are you woman enough"" to help your husband? Translated this means: ""keep your mouth shut"" at company parties; entertain more (""what about a brunch,"" that ""relatively new kind of affair"" -- among Eskimos maybe); make friends (the ""entire"" secret is ""being a friend""); be creative, do ""something."" (Even a ""dunderhead,"" the author attests, can learn ""to knit, crochet, sew, collect and polish gemstones. . .cook in seven different languages, make candles, do stained glass work. . .decoupage. . .crewel."") And write a book.
