KIRKUS REVIEW

Ten contemporary artists--five painters and five sculptors--are represented by the 73 works illustrated here and their work is explained in an essay by the man who prepared this collection as the American exhibit at the Venice Biennale. Geske, who directs the Sheldon Memorial Art gallery of the University of Nebraska, staged this exhibit for the Smithsonian Institution.
