A kindly, understanding testimonial to the War Production chief, in the biography of a Danish immigrant of 21 who rose rapidly and high in industrial circles. His early jobs, know how in a tool factory, value to Ford and the development of plant design, production increase, car improvement- the work in World War I that used all his ability and experience, General Motors and his power in that organization, and the contribution of his efforts in this war. The criticism and intrigue that came with his work in Washington and the use of his great talent as Lt. General for Army production, close this story of his career. For all its emphasis on the expert, industrial side, this does not neglect the very human qualities of this rag-to-riches life, and though with a bias, does manage a believable sincerity. Men only and a specific market at that.
