KIRKUS REVIEW

For the student attracted by a wide selection of topics in a small book, here are accounts of studies of the ocean currents, wave forms, the ocean bottom and even underwater searching devices. The treatment is interestingly handled and profusely illustrated with photographs (unfortunately not always in exact correspondence with the text). There's not enough development in depth to challenge the older and/or brighter student, but the information that is supplied is interesting, accurate and up-to-date --including even the Congressional setback of Project Mohole through lack of funds which occurred this spring.
