This is an expansion of a 1941 radio broadcast and is subtitled The Authentic and and offers an imaginative treatment of the tried and boy and dog story. Jones' dog, Pootsy, did not go to Dog Heaven because he was an auto haser, a tire nipper and a leash resister and the nine year old boy is all set to track down on Curgatory. Officialdom shuts its eyes as he starts off, but B. L. Z. Bubb lashes the news to Wick who is determined to undermine the Cosmos and the cosmic chase is Jones is successful in reaching Father Time, Mother Nature and Harpiola but Wich and is evil minions catch up with him as he is on route to the Giant. A friendly robot gets safety to his destination and the Giant sets him on his way to Curgatory where his re is turned down until it is revealed that Jones was killed first in trying to save . There's some superscience, caricature and happy fantasy here that might have an appeal for lighter reading moments.
