Another recording of the ""great American saga"", this time with Norwegian overtones and dialect. Two families, the Trygvesons and the Tergersons, brains and brawn respectively, set out from Norway for greener fields in the ""Meenapolis"" section, at the turn of the century. After the usual number of setbacks and the emergence of a modicum of black sheep in each group, the patriarchs are allowed to die with the satisfaction that their pioneer dreams have come true and their families are on the way to honest prosperity and dignity in the New World....The record is becoming rather old and cracked, and is only slightly relieved by bits of Norwegian tradition.
