KIRKUS REVIEW

This is grand reading. I don't think anyone could ever see orchids casually displayed for an evening's wear after reading this book, without finding the imagination retracing the tortuous ways of South American jungles, visualizing the perilous adventure, the danger, the beauty and the fascination and the terrors that orchid hunters experience in making orchids available for the world market. Good adventure -- good armchair exploration of a novel sort. Well written, with a sense of experience shared.
