HOW TO PLAY THE PIANO

A self-teaching, speed method manual for home use simplifies learning to play the piano with step by step instruction from pianist Fray and Assistant Director of Curtis Institute of Music Saperton. A speed method note chart, by numbers, and a rhythm ruler are part of the short out learning which has the student playing songs at the end of the first lesson. Notes, chords, beats, come first, then letters for the notes, more chords, sharps and flats, time signatures, keys, major and minor scales, complete the course and there is a glossary of terms at the end. A hobby book that is certainly easy to follow and that should provide an answer for those who want to play the piano without the discomfort of the usual lessons.
