THE CHOICE BEFORE US

A thoughtful analysis of the place of Socialism in the world today, of its relation to other existing methods of government, Fascism -- Italian or German style; Communism, the New Deal. Thomas lays the blame of the depression and the world economic collapse to the failure of Capitalism, and decries the attempts -- world-wide -- to bolster up capitalism, which is only bound to fail again. We are facing, he says, another world war, or an artificially stimulated capitalism, or Fascism, or the way out through Socialism. The book is not a convincing argument in favor of Socialism, for those who are not already convinced, Rather is it the historical approach to the subject, and a book that will interest anyone concerned in governmental procedure and wishing to inform himself on ways and means and theories and possible developments.
