APPEAL TO THE NATIONS by Norman Thomas

APPEAL TO THE NATIONS

By

Pub Date: March 27th, 1947
Publisher: Holt

A ""while there is time"" recommendation that carries the sincerity of a veteran fighter, a sober consideration of major propositions, and- as might be anticipated- a bias that is controversial. The leader of the Socialists in the US is here fighting to stimulate social action with a survey of the present approaches to peace and a contribution for U N improvement. He gives his reasons why he feels that not total victory nor the United Nations, nor fear of the atom bomb, nor Communism is guaranteed to perpetuate peace; he advocates renunciation of armaments and imperialism as the surest protection of the future and charts a course which would make such possibilities workable.... Market somewhat limited to Norman Thomas adherents.
