CIVIL SERVICE CAEERS FOR GIRLS

Two girls spend their summer doing the ""leg work"" (or some of it) on a research proposition connected with a book on civil service, and in the process learn about the vast ramifications of this vocational field. The result, for the reader, is a step by step opening up of the vistas -- a first rate vocational book. Under this heading, some such a varied assortment of fields of work as office work, office machine operation, medicine, research, law, home economics, dietetics, social service, child welfare, information service, statistics, library service, agriculture, conservation, education and many side lines. Would be a top notcher if only there were an index. The lack of curtails its value considerably.
